JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino donated more than 500 turkeys to Greater Cleveland area food pantries ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday
On Friday, November 15, JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino donated more than 500 turkeys to 13 area food pantries ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, a donation that totaled more than 6,300 lbs of turkey.
JACK Team Members set out beginning at 6 a.m. to deliver 520 turkeys to food pantries spanning across the Greater Cleveland area from Mayfield Heights to Berea and beyond. The donations were made in preparation of the pantries’ holiday food distributions which will serve community members in need to ensure they too can enjoy a festive meal this holiday season.
“JACK takes pride in being a part of the Cleveland community and it is part of our mission to serve those we call our neighbors,” said Chad Barnhill, Chief Operation Officer of JACK Entertainment. “There are so many great organizations working to serve community members in need, and we are honored to be able to assist their efforts in helping Cleveland families celebrate a special meal together.”
The food pantries that received donations included Lee Seville Miles Hunger Center, Our Savior Lutheran Church, St. John Vianney, Eastlake Kiwanis, Vineyard Community Church, Euclid Hunger Task Force, Salvation Army- Temple Corps, Beulah Baptist Church of Collinwood, St. Vincent de Paul, St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Cooley Avenue Church of God, North Olmsted Food Pantry and People’s Community Church.
