JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino have received the 2021 recognition for their outstanding workplace culture
JACK Entertainment, a recognized leader in the gaming-hospitality industry, has been named a 2021 Top Workplace by The Plain Dealer. For the fourth year in a row, the company has received the recognition which is based on feedback from an anonymous team member survey that measures workplace culture.
The Ohio-based gaming operator seeks to create a culture of support by fostering continued education and career opportunities for team members to grow and support not only one another but the community in which the company resides. During this past year, while facing a worldwide pandemic, this culture was evident as the JACK team came together to take on the challenge of ensuring a safe, healthy, and entertaining environment for our guests while fulfilling the mission to give back to the cities in which JACK calls home. In doing so, the past year saw JACK team members donate more than 4,000 lbs of food to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, donate lifesaving equipment to the Village of North Randall to benefit their Fire and Police Departments, raise over $5,000 for the Cleveland Hope Lodge in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, donate 8,300 lbs of Thanksgiving turkey to Greater Cleveland food pantries, and give over 600 pies to local holiday food distributions.
“Amidst an unprecedented year, our team members exhibited the resilience to deliver an exceptional experience for our guests, one another, and to the community. Without their determination and dedication, we would not have been able to find success within the pandemic year,” said Mark Dunkeson, Chief Executive Officer of JACK Entertainment. “It is our teams’ commitment that motivates us to deliver an exceptional workplace for all individuals to enjoy and we are honored to receive this recognition for the fourth year in a row.”
JACK Entertainment owns and operates JACK Cleveland Casino, Ohio’s first full-service casino located inside the historic Higbee Building in the heart of downtown Cleveland, and JACK Thistledown Racino, a Cleveland-area thoroughbred racetrack and gaming facility. Together these properties employ over 1,400 JACK team members and feature 14 bars and dining establishments, with more than 1.5 million square feet of gaming space.
