JACK Cleveland Casino and JACK Thistledown Racino have received the 2019 recognition for their outstanding workplace culture bold
JACK Entertainment, a recognized leader in the gaming-hospitality industry, has been named a 2019 Top Workplace by The Plain Dealer. For the second year in a row, the company has received the recognition which is based on feedback from an anonymous team member survey that measures workplace culture.
“Our dedicated team members are the driving force behind JACK Entertainment and we are committed to delivering an engaging work culture and creating an atmosphere where hardworking and passionate individuals can excel,” said Mark Tricano, senior vice president of operations, Northeast Ohio, for JACK Entertainment. “We are pleased to receive this recognition for a second consecutive year and are grateful for our team members’ dedication to making JACK a great place to work and play.”
JACK’s emphasis on the importance of team members was made evident in the recent JACK Loves CLE campaign. The award winning advertising campaign, which launched in March, made team members the face of the brand and stars familiar faces from the casino and racino from chefs to dealers, slot attendants and valet hosts.
JACK Entertainment and its affiliates own and operate JACK Cleveland Casino, Ohio’s first full-service casino located inside the historic Higbee Building in the heart of downtown Cleveland, and JACK Thistledown Racino, a Cleveland-area thoroughbred racetrack and gaming facility. Together these properties employ nearly 1,800 JACK team members and feature nine dining establishments, seven unique bars, and more than 150,000 square feet of gaming space.
The team member survey is administered by the research partner Energage, LLC (formerly WorkplaceDynamics), a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools.
“Becoming a Top Workplace isn’t something organizations can buy,” said Doug Claffey, chief executive officer of Energage. “It’s an achievement organizations have worked for and a distinction that gives them a competitive advantage. It’s a big deal.”
